+ | Prince Karonos Amethyst was born on Gemworld during the ninth age of magic. He is the younger brother of Amethyst, the Lord of Order, and current ruler of Gemworld. Their parents were the most powerful magic users in all of Gemworld, Lord and Lady Amethyst. They were the natural rulers until Dark Opal arose and slew them. In the ensuing chaos, the witch-mother Citrina whisked Karonos and Amethyst off to Earth to be raised by the Winston family in Hudson. It was here on Earth that they were both trained in the Arcane arts. Karonos had a unique aptitude for magic. He only needed to be shown a spell once before he could reproduce it. A rare and coveted trait amongst casters. Before long this aptitude had grown and it was obvious that he was somehow connected to magic. At the age of sixteen Amethyst and Citrina had decided to fully explore his connection to magic. They used powerful Divination spells to explore his genetic makeup, as well as his soul. The study of his DNA yielded that he was only going to age for another few years, and that his aging to this point was largely superficial. He always seemed smarter than his age should have allowed and as a teenager those who knew him would say he had an “old soul”. The examination of his soul revealed that he was in fact exactly that. Karonos was the reincarnation of a magical avatar from a different universe. Amethyst and Citrina's combined magical efforts could only reveal this much. Karonos having witnessed, and “felt” their spells cast them himself for practice as he often does. He wasn’t at all expecting to find anything more about himself than they did. Once cast, he could feel the magic start and flow as his mentor and sisters spells had, but then in an instant he felt it change and grow. This startled Karonos, and he had the thought that the spell should stop before something goes awry. Without him making a gesture or uttering a word the spell froze. Gazing at the mysterious frozen spell Karonos felt that he could then reach out to touch the energy of the spell, once he had he knew instantly that the spell stopped because he willed it to in his initial shock. Amethyst and Citrina amazed at what was unfolding before them urged him to allow the spell to run its course. He then asked the spell to continue aloud. The spell didn’t respond, it remained frozen. Citrina then admonished him saying that he knows the proper steps for concentrating on a spell for it to be fully realized till its end. Karonos gathered all the willpower for concentration he could muster and put it into the spell, the spell still didn’t respond. It swelled even more and struggled to maintain its current state. The more he concentrated, the more frustrated he became, this seemed to make the spell bloat and twist even more. Defeated, he audibly let out a held and exasperated breath. The spell still frozen shrank and lost some of its agitation at the same time. Amethyst then laughed out loud at her little brothers frustration, then apologized and stated that it was just ironic that NOW he has problem with a spell. Where before he has never failed to flawlessly cast a spell. Something everyone, including herself goes through at least once when beginning to learn magic. Citrina then walked over to him, placed her hands on his shoulders, and told him to close his eyes. She then told him to feel the spell as he had been doing his whole life. He was then aware of the state of the spell. It seemed frozen in shock just as he had been earlier. He theorized that the spell he cast is tied to his emotions. He reached out with his mind and connected to the spell. He noticed that it was almost like the spell was alive. He could feel the spell was a part of himself somehow. But the spell was full of shock, and a little irritation. He then calmed himself and centered his mind. As he did so the spell seemed to mimic him, assuming the shape of a bright glowing orb of golden light. Feeling that the spell was finally ready to continue, he commanded it to continue mentally. The spell seeming to mirror his desire activated and split into the two spells it was intended to. The first spell, the spell that studied his body revealed the same as Citrina's, but in addition it revealed that his body wasn’t just made from his parents DNA, but also the residual magical energy of the repeated clashing of the Lords of Order and Chaos. The spell made him instantly aware of each battle or even minor confrontation they had since the two factions were established. All of that energy coalesced into an omniversal nexus of magic. This magic rather than dissipating into the nexus was then drawn to a soul that had been there completely unconscious and was slowly being absorbed for many years. It was then that the second spell cast by Amethyst took shape and activated. It revealed that the soul that was being absorbed into the magical nexus was the soul of a being that identified itself as a female goddess named Karona while she was alive. Karonos consumed by curiosity then commanded the spell to change in order to delve deeper into the mystery of this soul. While the spell changed he had the thought to allow his sister and mentor to witness the spell as well. As the spell changed he felt his, Amethyst's, and Citrine's minds being connected to the spell. He was beginning to understand that this magic just like all others he had cast before was an extension of his will. He began to understand why he had been able to feel the spells, and know their properties, and composition without being told. He is literally connected to magic. The immensity of this revelation was lost on him as the spell began to show them the life of this mysterious being, starting with her creation:

+ | 1. The spell began by showing them the lives of two human mage/barbarians brother and sister whose names were Kamahl and Jeska. They lead rough and primitive lives in a forest on their world called Dominaria. It also revealed the life of a man named Ixidor. A very intelligent wizard who was married to a beautiful and equally talented talented wizard named Nivea. The spell went on to reveal a group of people who had heavily altered themselves with magic in blind devotion to a dark deity to the point where it wasn’t accurate to call them human anymore. Their dark syndicate was known as “the Cabal”. The Cabal would host pit fights in an arena in the city of Aphetto seemingly to raise money in a simple philanthropic endeavor. Their true porpose however was to scout for talent. They needed a vessel that they could use to bring their god into their world. Ixidor and Nivea swiftly became the champions of these pit fights. Their combined magical prowess was more than a match for any foes they came across. They used what was referred to “Blue Magic”. One day Jeska decided to enter the pit fights in an effort to raise some money, as her life in the forest presented little opportunity to do so. She proved to be a cunning and devastating opponent to all challengers she faced. She wielded the might of “Red Magic”. Jeska eventually had to face the fearsome wizard duo, and for the first time since participating in the pit fights they were truly challenged and tested by her. Red Magic being naturally opposed to Blue Magic and vice-versa, it was no wonder that they were so tried and nearly defeated by her abilities. But in the end Ixidor and Nivea's teamwork proved to be too much for Jeska. Together they managed to knock her out, winning the pit fight, and continuing their reign as champions. The Cabal taking notice of this were particularly interested in Jeska. Not only did she single-handedly almost defeat their reigning champions, but her body was a strong athletic one, which was ideal for the dark purposes they had in store for what would have been Nivea. Nivea however had a thin pretty frame. She wasn’t very athletic if at all, which made sense given that she was just a wizard; completely devoting herself to the study of magic and its nonphysical aspects, as all Blue Magic practitioners do. So as Jeska was being cared for in the infirmary of the arena the Cabal sent word to have her brought to the secret catacombs beneath the arena. Here they seized their opportunity and changed Jeska while she was still unconscious into the ideal vessel for their plots using the same magic they used on themselves. During the ritual Karonos was able to see and even feel the “Black Magic” they used as it swirled and churned at their command. They chanted around the still unconscious Jeska who was placed in a dark candle-lit room, inside of what looked like a large ornate bath tub that was likely used for baptizing. This all seemed strangely familiar to Karonos, as if he always knew of these people and their lives. He even anticipated the arrival of the of the Cabals dark god Kuberr in the room with them; his influence seemed to complete the ritual changing Jeska drastically. Her once brown hair faded to black from the ends till it got closer to her scalp where it was a pale red. Her skin, once smooth and sun kissed became rough as tho she had been burned in some places, and pale white. She looked like she had died. The transformation completed Kuberr's presence faded away and she awakened with no memory of who she was before. The Patriarch gave this new woman the name Phage, and used his foul magic to force her to obey their bidding. The clothing Jeska was wearing (a mix of magical leather and metal) began to rust and corrode. The leather rotted and turned to dust and the metal only having been rusted slightly was still in tack, but it fell into the dark water as she stood up. The Cabal Patriarch overseeing this whole endeavor ordered his servants to clothe her. They attempted to place a robe over her, new cotton fabric seemed to do much the same as her previous clothes had, turn brown from seemingly being ravaged by time and fall off and crumble to dust as it hit the floor. One of the servants dressing her accidentally touched the skin on her shoulder. He screamed in agony as his middle and ring fingers turned black and rotted off his hand. It was then that The Patriarch understood what gifts she had been given. Much the same as himself she could rot organic materials by touching them. The only fabric that she could touch was silk, and she could only touch inorganic items like stone and steel without completely destroying them. The Patriarch needed to see her ability and new talents on combat before he could determine whether or not the transformation was a success. He commanded her to fight for him in the pit, however before long he realized that she so enjoyed using her abilities and fighting that he didn’t need to force her to anymore. She fought and easily defeated every opponent she came across. Her New body seemed faster and stronger than before as noted by The Patriarch as he lustfully watched her fight. The time came when Ixidor and Nivea were her next opponents for the championship of the Pit. Phage being undefeated up to this point because of her devastating touch, she became known as Phage The Untouchable. Ixidor being over-confident in their teamwork placed a large wager in favor of their victory. He used his privilege as champion to pay for half of his wager up front and the other half would be payed for later in the event of a loss (which had never happened) and would receive double what he bet upon a victory. The fated day came for their match. Phage having studied them and their tactics knew that she needed to get close to them to deliver her lethal touch. Despite their planning and extensive knowledge of Phage and her abilities, the wizard duo were separated in the middle of the match. Phage had reached a whole new level of speed never before seen in her previous battles. This new frightening speed was enough to catch the wizards off guard in the middle of a spell forcing them to separate. Phage as if knowing that Nivea was carrying the majority of this particular spell (that she had to now frantically work to cancel without Ixidor's aid) would be open for just a moment, which was more than enough of an opening for a decisive blow. Ixidor recovering faster attempted to cover Nivea by unleashing three fast debilitating spells against Phage. Any one of these spells would have incapacitated Phage should they make contact with her. The whole while Phage was heading toward Nivea, she was expected a counter attack from Ixidor observing his movement while he was casting the spells. Likely do to his over-confidence, and concern for Nivea's well-being, he without thinking used three spells that he had used against previous opponents. Phage knew each spell well from her studying the wizards previous matches, and unlike her predecessors she dodged all three with a quick and terrifying burst of speed and unearthly grace much to everyone's shock. By the time she dodged the third spell she was upon Nivea. She struck the recovering wizard across her left cheek, and with a cry of pain Nivea fell to the ground her hands covering her rotting face. The crowd fell silent in shock and awe that Phage landed a potentially fatal blow against the wizard as she screamed and writhed in pain. Ixidor looked on in shock and horror at what had just transpired, his cry of anguish drowned out by the apathetic roar of the cheering crowd at this upset. Without intent or remorse Phage had actually struck a fatal blow on Nivea. Ixidor forfeited the match, making Phage the winner. He then rushed to his downed bride and saw that the blow had destroyed the entire left half of her face and a large part of her skull. Utterly broken and defeated he picked up his wife’s corpse and left the arena with Phage laughing and reveling in victory as the crowd cheered her name. Phage continued to fight loyally for the Patriarch, and due to the unique nature of their relationship, bore him a child. This child turned out to be the reincarnation of the Kuberr. Her purpose fulfilled, she remained the Pits champion for another year. Ixidor, 3 months after Nivea's death and funeral wallowed in depression and despair over losing the most important person in his life. The Cabals collectors came for the remainder of his bet money that he owed them. He however never had it as he had spent a great deal of their earnings on the large residence he had bought for the two of them. They told him that they always collect their debts one way or another, and was given an extension of 2 months to shore up the money. He had no intention of gathering the money as he spent his days depressed and drunken stupor looking at portraits of her around their home. When the time came The Cabals collectors knocked down his door, and confronted him for the payment. It quickly became apparent that he didnt have it and likely hadn’t even left their home for anything in quite a while. The collectors anticipating this had brought along some hired muscle to beat him severely. He had no fight left in him, and wished they would kill him, but they instead told him that they would be taking the house and its contents from him as payment. They then had him taken far from Aphetto into the Locus dessert outside of town beaten, bloody, and left for dead. Meanwhile, Kamahl began to look for his sister around this time. He knew that she would go on long journeys, but five months of silence was unlike her. She would always send word by magic or carrier pigeon. He magically traced her whereabouts leaving the forest behind. In 3 weeks he traced the vestiges of her magic to the pit fights, and that is where he first learned of Phage The Untouchable. Seeing her for the first time from the crowd he was unnerved at how much this cruel, and evil woman favored Jeska. He knew his sister was a fiery and free spirited woman, but not capable of such malice. His tracking spells dissipated when he looked at Phage as though they were identifying her as Jeska. Still in disbelief, he resolved to get to the bottom of this matter. Ixidor in these 3 weeks wandered the dessert using his magic to preserve and move himself around. He had decided Nivea wouldn’t want him to die in the dessert when he could still save himself. He constructed a magical disk to carry him to the nearest town he was aware of Kian. He had hoped that he would simply run out of magic and die before he reached his destination, but fate had other plans in store for the downtrodden wizard. His magic had given out just a few miles outside of the town but as it stands he was rescued by a merchant caravan heading to Kian. He was nursed back to health in the abbey, and given a small shack to live in. He begrudgingly thanked them for their kindness, and began to use his skills to aid further victims of the harsh desert that wound up there from their travels. One of them had a flier with an image of Phage on it. As he read the parchment he learned that not only was she alive and well, but she was still winning the fights, and fewer and fewer challengers dared face her. The flier was a way to spread the word of the champion of the pit to anyone else in or outside the city to bring a worthy challenge. Ixidor became enraged at this knowledge. Five months after Phage murdered his precious Nivea she is still alive and undefeated. His hatred, regret, and pain barely allowed him to sleep that night. All the could think of was exacting revenge on Phage. He did eventually find rest that night only to find that when he woke up he was missing his right arm. The towering frame of a strong 6'5 angel stood at the foot of his bed. The angel explained to Ixidor that he was responsible for creating her, and that she had but one propose for existing, to destroy Phage The Untouchable at any cost. Ixidor had surmised that his emotions must have wrestled control of his magic from him while he slept and animated the statue that was in the center of the abbey courtyard at the cost of his arm. This angel had the exact likeness of Nivea's beautiful face placed on an imposing formidable frame. Though the angel came at a high price he marveled as he didn’t realize he had the power to do such a thing. He named this creature Akroma, Angel of Wrath. That day he sent Akroma to Aphetto to challenge and slay Phage. This so happened to be that day that Kamahl after fighting his way through the pit combatants would fight with Phage as this was the only way he could converse with her directly. The battle began and though Phage was as ever a terrifying and fast opponent now bolstered with knowledge of Black Magic, Kamahl was adept at both “Green Magic” as well as the same “Red Magic” that Jeska could wield. Kamahl was able to speak with Phage and tell her who he thought she was. Phage however having absolutely no memory of the woman he spoke of assumed he was just buying time for something, or attempting to deceive her in a effort to distract her from their fight. She began to attack him quickly and relentlessly. Kamahl despite his superior knowledge of magic found it challenging trying to only defend from her attacks while trying to reach his sister. Akroma arrived at the arena to witness their battle. She found it fortuitous that Phage was in battle already against a formidable foe, and watched in hopes that she would be cut down. It became obvious however that this large male warrior was holding back against the smaller swift demoness. Akroma knew that she had to intervene. She flew to the arena center grounds and the crowd fell silent. It was common for challenger to interrupt a pit fight, though no one had interrupted one of Phages fights in quite some time. Akroma attacked Phage with a swift, vicious, and furious barrage of White Magic and and sword attacks. The powerful angel wasn’t as fast as Phage, but clearly stronger. One blow from the 5 foot heavy blade, or one of her destructive spells would surely end their battle. To everyone’s surprise Phage managed to launch a counter attack and land a blow on the angels face using the full extent of the speed ability she had in the midst of Akroma's assault. Her hand lingered on Akroma's face and then a sinking fear began to creep over Phages smiling visage. Akroma was immune to her rotting touch. Akroma resumed her assault tirelessly. After several minutes had passed it was evident that Phage would eventually tire, and Akroma still not missing a beat would kill her. Kamahl couldn’t let his sister be struck down by this fearsome angel. He intervened and jointly attacked the angel with Phage. Akroma's magic had insurmountable defenses against both Red and Black Magic, but none against Green. This provided the edge the two of them needed to fend of and eventually cripple the angel breaking both of her legs. Akroma was forced to retreat from the arena by quickly flying away. She went back to Ixidor and told him of what had happened. He repaired he broken legs, and said that in order to destroy Phage he needed to raise an army to crush her and her allies. Over the next week he honed his new reality sculpting magic. Eventually he created a new avian army from the rocks and sand he found in the desert. These creatures looked like tall humanoid bird creatures, with two wings sprouting from their back. Phage and The Patriarch got word of Ixidor from their Kian connections and what he was doing. They assumed the massive number of avians was meant to slay Phage for revenge. They gathered their forces and rallied an army of their own to fight off Ixidor's. Kamahl had also offered his aid summoning a vast army of beasts and elementals from the forest to aid Phage who didn’t understand his help but welcomed it. The opposing forces eventually collided in battle. Akroma's forces were slowly winning an pushing back the enemy force until Phage herself joined the battle. This is exactly what Akroma was waiting for. She left the reserve of her army and flew to the front line to confront her nemesis. Kamahl having anticipated both women’s actions readied a powerful axe called the Soul Reaper to use to slay Akroma. Due to her lack of backup, and intense focus on killing the swift and nimble enemy before her she never noticed Kamahl with is great weapon until the last second. She had pinned Phage with one hand to the ground and was about to decapitate her with her greatsword. Kamahl swung his mighty axe just as Akroma raised her blade. The axe found its mark, and cut Akroma in two. However unbeknownst to Kamahl the Soul Reaper isn’t a simple axe to simply destroy what it cuts it is in fact a tool used to fuse things it cuts. Kamahl had stolen this tool mistaking it for a “Green Mana” infused weapon as he is a forest-dwelling barbarian. The Soul Reaper then activated and since Akroma was touching Phage when she was cut both women were engulfed in a blinding light fusing their souls together as one. In the explosion of light the Soul Reaper had been destroyed its magic drained from its pieces. In the midst of the Chaos of the battlefield a new being flew into the skies. Karona, False God, Magic Incarnate, was born.

+ | 2. Exceptionally powerful, the newborn entity was seen as a beacon of hope by almost everybody who was left standing on the battlefield and they made a last scramble towards her glowing form. Thousands of wounded soldiers were crushed by the tide of broken bodies. Horrified by what she saw, Karona fled the scene, leaving the soldiers devastated. Not even the mighty Kamahl was able to resist her charms and his great frame bent in reverence to the powerful goddess.
+ | Greatly alarmed and confused by the influx of people suddenly worshipping her, Karona attempted to get away by flying across the great expanse of desert. There, among the sand and boulders, she found two naked men, who called themselves Sash and Waistcoat, little knowing that they would change her brief life forever. Instead of worshipping her, the two men managed to control themselves and they made fools of themselves. Karona was so bewildered that she helped the two by taking them to an oasis and healing the wounds they had sustained by walking naked across the blistering sands. After some time, Karona decided that they could help her discover her true identity, so she took them to the eastern town of Eroshia, where they could act as her disciples.
+ | Having clothed and fed her two disciples, the trio headed to Eroshia, where Karona wanted to learn about her past. Along the way, they encountered a group of refugees, who fled from war in Averru. Within moments of glimpsing Karona, they fell to their knees in worship. Reluctantly, Karona allowed them to follow her to Eroshia. Their reception was less than welcome. Apparently, the Governor of Eroshia, Governor Dereg, recognized Sash and Waistcoat as troublemakers, and he refused to allow them into his town. However, upon witnessing Karona, the Governor fell into the same awe-induced stupor that had befallen so many of her worshippers and he welcomed her arrival with much enthusiasm.
+ | After spending a few days in the town, Karona held a council with all the major figures in Eroshia in order to decide what she is. There were numerous suggestions to her identity, varying from the spirit of an ancient ship, the Weatherlight, to the ghost of Serra. However, her disciple Sash came to a startling conclusion- Karona was magic manifest. Thrilled at his discovery Karona instantly took on the idea and after several days time, she left Eroshia for the mountains to test her newfound powers.
+ | Still somewhat confused about what she could do, Karona turned to her two disciples for advice. Through much trial and error, Sash and Waistcoat discovered that Karona’s powers were based on faith and the two happened to recreate the Thran Null Moon, which was demolished 100 years ago in the Phyrexian Invasion, before accidentally destroying it again.
+ | In a few hours of their discovery, thousands of fervent worshippers and devotees once again appeared in order to worship the goddess. Frustrated at the worshippers, Karona no longer wanted them to pester her, so she used her vast powers to create a bottomless pit, through which hundreds fell to their demises. Even more would have fallen through the hole, had not her disciples convinced her to fill it up and move on.
+ | Seeking another deity to help her use her powers, Karona summoned five portals, one for each colour of magic. Each portal would open a gateway to some of Dominaria’s most famous deities. From the green portal, stepped a nature avatar named Multani. To her disappointment, Multani informed Karona that he wasn’t a god, but instead, he served Gaea who in turn, was the goddess of the land. Multani also revealed that Karona opposed Gaea, as magic was drawn from the land. Disheartened, Karona sent Multani back to his portal.
+ | "Gaea rejects me . . . So I will reject her."
+ | The next being was a dwarf, who appeared from the red portal. The dwarf introduced himself as Fiers, and he admitted to Karona that he was a planeswalker, who is worshipped as a god by Dominarian dwarves. Unimpressed, Karona dismissed him back to his portal. Desperate, the goddess opened the black portal and almost immediately, she was terrified of the voice and the sheer evil that radiated from it. The haunting voice constantly urged her to enter the portal and be with him. Uncertain, Karona asked several times for its name and finally, the voice revealed itself to be that of Yawgmoth, the Ineffable, who was banished from Dominaria for causing the devastating apocalypse. Seeing that he was of no help, Karona hastily closed his portal preferring a more inviting deity.
+ | Karona sensed a strange affinity with the one armed man who emerged from the blue portal. The man revealed himself as Ixidor, creator of Akroma, but something led Karona to believe that he was not revealing all that he knew. Almost instantaneously, she sensed that he was heading to the Grand Coliseum, south of Aphetto. Nevertheless, she allowed him to return to his portal and get on with his business.
+ | The final portal was the white portal, and a dark skinned man stepped out. The man, who was called Teferi, also revealed himself to be a planeswalker and he explained that he had phased out a great proportion of the super continent Jamurra in order to protect its inhabitants from harm. As he was unwilling to help her, Karona decided to follow the most promising path, which happened to be that of Ixidor.
+ | With a newfound sense of identity, Karona headed off to the Grand Coliseum, south of the buzzing Cabal metropolis of Aphetto in order to follow Ixidor. The Grand Coliseum was a massive construct that supported tens of thousands of people within its stone stands. However, As Karona approached the Coliseum, the audience stampeded in a bid to reach her glowing form and much of the circular structure collapsed under the weight, crushing thousands of innocent spectators under a pile of rubble and corpses. Still, there was no sign of Ixidor and Karona heavily suspected that he had transcended mortal existence, into one of the Numena and he was conspiring against her with his two brothers—Kuberr and Averru.
+ | Karona knew what to do. In order to avoid being killed by the three Numena, she must stop them before they could act and where else would they hide and conspire if not the city of Averru? With Sash and Waistcoat in tow, Karona moved eastwards towards Averru, once again, leaving hundreds of disappointed followers in her destructive wake.
+ | Hours later, Karona arrived in Averru and above the skies of the city, was a being that hung in midair just like her. The being, which called itself Arien, called to her to approach and he aroused feelings inside Karona that she never felt before. Attracted to Arien like a moth to a flame, Karona tried approaching the strange being, but suddenly found herself under attack from the three Numena. Unable to escape, Karona endured endless barrages of magical attacks, losing a lot of power in the process. Eventually, just as she was near death, she found herself with her two disciples in a strange place that was anything but Dominaria.
+ | Karona had arrived at the Blind Eternities, an infinite space between planes that held the pathways of numerous people throughout history. Desperate to escape this strange place, Karona followed a random path into another plane. Instantly, yellow skies dirt replaced the blackness of the Blind Eternities. Baffled at her location, Karona decided to ask for help from the locals and she repeated Gerrard Capashen, a strange name that she had heard in the Blind Eternities. The local’s reactions were far from welcome as they decried her as being associated with the Cho-Arrim rebels and the "heretic". Terrified, Karona fled by moving to another plane.
+ | The next plane was a place filled with floating meadows and the sun locked in an eternal sunset. The very air brought refreshment to the weary limbs of her two disciples. The only person she saw as an angelic creature that welcomed their arrival. After explaining their plight, the angelic figure only mused on the fact that Karona reminded her of another being named Urza Planeswalker, who had unintentionally caused great damage to the multiverse in his efforts to protect Dominaria against the Phyrexians. The angelic being also reminded her that she was Dominaria’s magic and Dominaria was her true home.
+ | Rejected from two planes, Karona planeswalked to the plane of Phyrexia, which was still in shambles thanks to the soul bombs that exploded there during the apocalypse. Looking at the blasted landscape made Karona think of Yawgmoth and she related herself to him by claiming that they had both caused great devastation and had been rejected by Gaea. However, the haunting voice of Yawgmoth once again broke her thoughts and he urged her to stay on his plane. Having being warned by Sash and Waistcoat that those words were identical to the ones Arien had used to lure her into the trap, Karona was prepared and she left.
+ | Once again, she felt the strong pull of the Blind Eternities as she picked another path towards another plane. This time, the bright reflected sheen of metal met her eyes and towards the distance, was a man. Karona approached the man and he humbly confessed to be the lowly servant of Lord Macht, the creator of the plane. However, as he was the only person in sight, Karona easily saw through the man’s ruse and she embraced him, believing he would be what he truly was. Having been freed from his conscience, the grateful Lord Macht transported Karona to Dominaria.
+ | Driven mad by her own power, or perhaps by her contact with Yawgmoth, Karona appeared over the skies of Eroshia and demanded that the citizens bow down in worship or be killed by a sudden burst of magic. With Sash and Waistcoat yelling to the townsmen to bow, few resisted and those that lingered for too long were instantly annihilated as Karona sent a surge of mana through the town.
+ | Wishing to gather more followers in her crazed scheme, Karona marked Aphetto as her next stop. However, as Aphetto was a stronghold of cabalists who already worshipped their own god, Karona found as few as five hundred citizens who were ready to embrace her ideals before being shunned and ordered to leave by the rest of the town. Leading the nonbelievers was a young boy, not much older than ten, who claimed to be the reincarnated souls of all the cabal dead. Incensed over her poor treatment, Karona lifted her faithful out of the city, before obliterating it with a massive spell. Having assembled a massive cult of devotees, Karona set her sights on Averru, where she hoped to settle a few scores with the Numena and Kamahl.
+ | "Rise once more, so you may continue to destroy our enemies."
+ | Within hours, Karona and her disciples arrived at Averru and she sent the two to challenge the Pardic barbarian. The two returned and told her the inhabitants were unwilling to allow her into the city and they were prepared to stand siege. They also revealed Kamahl’s plans for killing her with the Mirari sword. Seeing that the majority of the inhabitants consisted of animated Glyphs, Karona unleashed a spell that demolished them all. Soon, all that was left of Averru were a clump of abandoned buildings, Kamahl, the Centaur General Stonebrow and the three Numena.
+ | Karona entered the abandoned city and she discovered that the pitiful group had sought shelter inside a citadel rather than face her wrath. Seeing that there was little she could do, the omnipotent goddess decided to entomb them by encasing the entire citadel with a thick layer of stone. Once trapped inside, the five would have to fight their way out or suffer from starvation and asphyxiation. Within moments, Kuberr was dead as his small frame was crushed under tonnes of rock.
+ | Soon, Kamahl, Stonebrow and Lowallyn made their way out of the citadel and the Numen used his mythical magic to animate a nearby lump of rock into a towering golem that threatened to crush the life out of the powerful goddess. However, Karona could not be beaten so easily for what is magic if it could not change the tide of war? Using a control spell, Karona managed to gain control of the golem and pit it against its master. The controlled golem was eventually stopped, but not before it crushed Lowallyn under its massive weight. With two of the three Numena dead, Averru reached epic levels of magical energy and he was able to manifest inside the citadel. However, Karona was able to easily dispatch him with a sudden surge of energy to Averru’s central eye.
+ | Only Kamahl and Stonebrow were left and after the loss of their three greatest players, they could do little but fight Karona to the very end. Fortunately, Karona did not believe that Stonebrow was a threat and she rendered him immobile with help her spells. So began an epic battle between an omnipotent being and a man with a great sword. In the early moments of combat, Karona knocked the Mirari sword from Kamahl’s grasp and she advanced for the killing blow.
+ | Even in what may have well be his final moments, the mighty Kamahl defied Karona to the very last, claiming that thousands would have died rather than bow before a false god like her. In fury, Karona raised her arm for the final blow but suddenly stopped as pain flooded through her body and she saw the tip of the Mirari sword poking through her chest. Looking over her shoulder, Karona saw the trembling forms of Sash and Waistcoat begging for her forgiveness, while telling her that it was Lord Macht’s plan for returning things to normal. The dying Karona was not convinced and with her last breath, she accused Lord Macht of conspiring to steal her powers . . . .
+ | After her demise, Lord Macht took her body and the Mirari sword to his plane of Argentum. There, he removed the sword from her chest and ancient powers once again intervened. Karona’s magical body was dissipated and was reverted back to the souls of Akroma, and Phage. The essences of Akroma drifted off to the four winds, signifying the end of Karona’s tyranny.

+ | The spells ended their haunting visions. Karonos was deeply affected my the tale of his past life. He understood that he is an avatar of magic. Born from the conflict of the Lords of Order and Chaos, their magic found Karona's dissipating soul and reincarnated into his form. Citrina the explains that their mother when she birthed Karonos hadn’t intended to name him Karonos. She said she received a vision of a woman wearing strange armor and garments and a large unique helmet, with wings protruding from the sides. The woman convinced her that her son should be named Karonos, and that he was destined for great magical deeds. Lady Amethyst taking a liking to the name changed her mind and heeded the vision naming him Karonos Amethyst. His unique connection to magic finally being revealed and comprehended. In the following years he went on to master his various aspects of magic the the best of his ability. He learned that he doesn’t “cast” spells in a traditional sense. He commands magic to do something, and it does as he commands. He doesn’t need to concentrate to maintain spells, as a result if he commands a spell to do something he must later tell it to stop otherwise magic in that area will continue to loop into and out of that spell until its dispelled. He found that in order to help him control his vast power he created different forms for himself. Each representing a certain type of magic. While he could use any magic in his normal form, using large and powerful spells were difficult to keep in order once he commanded them. So he chose and created 4 forms to turn into at will to help him control the “big” spells that he knows. He is able to command magic at the speed of thought, and may sometimes command by reaction to something that happens, or in preventing something that he has foreseen when using Divination Magic.

+ | Big Spells: | ||
+ | Decree Of Silence: | ||
+ | creates a zone up to a 100 ft radius that negates magic. He has to however create a safe zone of about 3 feet around himself as he has learned that in areas of weak or no magic he becomes very weak, and even walking is quickly tiresome.
+ | Denying Wind: | ||
+ | Simulates a powerful windstorm that affects its targets minds making them forget any 7 things he wishes them to forget. He may at a later time restore them.

+ | Green Magic Form: Nature Magic, Healing Magic, Life Magic
+ | |||
+ | Big Spells: | ||
+ | |||
+ | Decree of Savagery: | ||
+ | Simulates a powerful windstorm that amplifies his targets attributes by a factor of 8. for example if you could lift a car with your super strength and that was the limit of your ability, this spell makes it so that now u can lift 8 of those cars simultaneously. It affects all aspects of his targets abilities. It does not give them the innate ability to control this new power level. The targets must guess at what power level they use is appropriate.

+ | Vitalizing Wind: | ||
+ | Heals his allies injuries completely.

+ | Red Magic Form: Fire Magic, Chaos Magic,
+ | |||
+ | Big Spells: | ||
+ | |||
+ | Decree Of Annihilation: Karonos is able to destroy targeted objects with this spell erasing them from existence. After the spell is used and finished its as if the object never existed, there is no way to bring the targeted object back.
+ | |||
+ | Searing Wind: | ||
+ | Simulates a powerful windstorm that instantly chars its targets as if they had been burned at whatever temperature produces the final product of whatever would happen if the target was burned. For example, wood being instantly turned to ash.

+ | |||
+ | Big Spells: | ||
+ | |||
+ | Decree Of Justice: Karonos is able to create an angel out of pure White Mana: this angel is identical in physical and angelic ability to Zauriel. He then dismisses them to a pocket dimension until needed again. The angels are completely sentient and loyal to Karonos, and will appear and act of their own accord to help him when needed.
+ | |||
+ | Blessed Wind: | ||
+ | Simulates a powerful windstorm that protects allies from a specified threat. For example if Karonos protects himself and his allies from physical assaults from a giant robot. Its physical attacks will recoil off their target leaving them unharmed. It wont protect against a laser attack from the robot unless Karonos revises in the spell.

+ | |||
+ | |||
+ | Black Magic Form: Unholy Magic, Death Magic, Curse Magic
+ | |||
+ | This form Karonos didn’t actually design himself. Once he channeled and gathered the black mana within himself to make the form he instantly lost control of the design, and it made a hideous deformed terrifying visage. Seemingly of its own accord. Citrina has advised him that because of the great and numerous mysteries involving Yawgmoth and his power, its best not to use this form. As its possible that Karona was corrupted when she came into contact with his voice, which may have driven her to madness. That corruption could have attached itself to her very soul, and may even still be a apart of Karonos.
+ | |||
+ | Decree Of Pain: | ||
+ | Inflicts one or all of the following aspects of death on its target: Solitude, Aging, Emptiness, Despair, Destruction, Intoxication, Madness, Greed, Pride, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, Gluttony, Lust.
+ | This spell can but doesn’t always result in death of its target.
+ | |||
+ | Plague Wind: | ||
+ | Simulates a powerful windstorm that instantly drains the life force from its targets. Karonos can then choose to use that lifeforce for something else or store it for later use.

Background
Prince Karonos Amethyst was born on Gemworld during the ninth age of magic.
Greatly alarmed and confused by the influx of people suddenly worshipping her, Karona attempted to get away by flying across the great expanse of desert.
Having clothed and fed her two disciples, the trio headed to Eroshia, where Karona wanted to learn about her past.
After spending a few days in the town, Karona held a council with all the major figures in Eroshia in order to decide what she is.
Still somewhat confused about what she could do, Karona turned to her two disciples for advice. Through much trial and error, Sash and Waistcoat discovered that Karona’s powers were based on faith and the two happened to recreate the Thran Null Moon, which was demolished 100 years ago in the Phyrexian Invasion, before accidentally destroying it again.
In a few hours of their discovery, thousands of fervent worshippers and devotees once again appeared in order to worship the goddess. Frustrated at the worshippers, Karona no longer wanted them to pester her, so she used her vast powers to create a bottomless pit, through which hundreds fell to their demises. Even more would have fallen through the hole, had not her disciples convinced her to fill it up and move on.
Seeking another deity to help her use her powers, Karona summoned five portals, one for each colour of magic.
"Gaea rejects me . . . So I will reject her."
The next being was a dwarf, who appeared from the red portal.
Karona sensed a strange affinity with the one armed man who emerged from the blue portal.
The final portal was the white portal, and a dark skinned man stepped out.
With a newfound sense of identity, Karona headed off to the Grand Coliseum, south of the buzzing Cabal metropolis of Aphetto in order to follow Ixidor.
Karona knew what to do.
Hours later, Karona arrived in Averru and above the skies of the city, was a being that hung in midair just like her.
Karona had arrived at the Blind Eternities, an infinite space between planes that held the pathways of numerous people throughout history.
The next plane was a place filled with floating meadows and the sun locked in an eternal sunset.
Rejected from two planes, Karona planeswalked to the plane of Phyrexia, which was still in shambles thanks to the soul bombs that exploded there during the apocalypse.
Once again, she felt the strong pull of the Blind Eternities as she picked another path towards another plane.
Driven mad by her own power, or perhaps by her contact with Yawgmoth, Karona appeared over the skies of Eroshia and demanded that the citizens bow down in worship or be killed by a sudden burst of magic. With Sash and Waistcoat yelling to the townsmen to bow, few resisted and those that lingered for too long were instantly annihilated as Karona sent a surge of mana through the town.
Wishing to gather more followers in her crazed scheme, Karona marked Aphetto as her next stop.
"Rise once more, so you may continue to destroy our enemies."
Within hours, Karona and her disciples arrived at Averru and she sent the two to challenge the Pardic barbarian.
Karona entered the abandoned city and she discovered that the pitiful group had sought shelter inside a citadel rather than face her wrath.
Soon, Kamahl, Stonebrow and Lowallyn made their way out of the citadel and the Numen used his mythical magic to animate a nearby lump of rock into a towering golem that threatened to crush the life out of the powerful goddess.
Only Kamahl and Stonebrow were left and after the loss of their three greatest players, they could do little but fight Karona to the very end.
Even in what may have well be his final moments, the mighty Kamahl defied Karona to the very last, claiming that thousands would have died rather than bow before a false god like her. The dying Karona was not convinced and with her last breath, she accused Lord Macht of conspiring to steal her powers . . . .
After her demise, Lord Macht took her body and the Mirari sword to his plane of Argentum. There, he removed the sword from her chest and ancient powers once again intervened. Karona’s magical body was dissipated and was reverted back to the souls of Akroma, and Phage. The essences of Akroma drifted off to the four winds, signifying the end of Karona’s tyranny.
The spells ended their haunting visions.
Blue Magic Form: Mental Magic, Water Magic, Time./Space Magic Big Spells: Decree Of Silence: creates a zone up to a 100 ft radius that negates magic. He has to however create a safe zone of about 3 feet around himself as he has learned that in areas of weak or no magic he becomes very weak, and even walking is quickly tiresome. Denying Wind: Simulates a powerful windstorm that affects its targets minds making them forget any 7 things he wishes them to forget. He may at a later time restore them.
Green Magic Form: Nature Magic, Healing Magic, Life Magic
Big Spells:
Decree of Savagery: Simulates a powerful windstorm that amplifies his targets attributes by a factor of 8. for example if you could lift a car with your super strength and that was the limit of your ability, this spell makes it so that now u can lift 8 of those cars simultaneously. It affects all aspects of his targets abilities. It does not give them the innate ability to control this new power level. The targets must guess at what power level they use is appropriate.
Vitalizing Wind: Heals his allies injuries completely.
Red Magic Form: Fire Magic, Chaos Magic,
Big Spells:
Decree Of Annihilation: Karonos is able to destroy targeted objects with this spell erasing them from existence. After the spell is used and finished its as if the object never existed, there is no way to bring the targeted object back.
Searing Wind: Simulates a powerful windstorm that instantly chars its targets as if they had been burned at whatever temperature produces the final product of whatever would happen if the target was burned. For example, wood being instantly turned to ash.
White Magic Form: Holy Magic, Defensive Magic, Sealing Magic
Big Spells:
Decree Of Justice: Karonos is able to create an angel out of pure White Mana: this angel is identical in physical and angelic ability to Zauriel. He then dismisses them to a pocket dimension until needed again. The angels are completely sentient and loyal to Karonos, and will appear and act of their own accord to help him when needed.
Blessed Wind: Simulates a powerful windstorm that protects allies from a specified threat. For example if Karonos protects himself and his allies from physical assaults from a giant robot. Its physical attacks will recoil off their target leaving them unharmed. It wont protect against a laser attack from the robot unless Karonos revises in the spell.
Black Magic Form: Unholy Magic, Death Magic, Curse Magic
This form Karonos didn’t actually design himself.
Decree Of Pain: Inflicts one or all of the following aspects of death on its target: Solitude, Aging, Emptiness, Despair, Destruction, Intoxication, Madness, Greed, Pride, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, Gluttony, Lust. This spell can but doesn’t always result in death of its target.
Plague Wind: Simulates a powerful windstorm that instantly drains the life force from its targets. Karonos can then choose to use that lifeforce for something else or store it for later use.
